AUSTRALIAN MONEY TOURNAMENT
Semi-professional tournaments introduced by Tennis Australia in 2006. They are designed to create quality matchplay opportunities and help with the transition for post junior athletes.
In 2010, the National Open Tournament brand was phased out and re-branded as a tiered circuit of AMTs – Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze – based on prize money levels offered to the open events. To allow for the preservation and integrity of the brand and to provide product consistency to the consumer, a set of controlled delivery requirements has been aligned to each tier.
In total, 169 tournaments across Australia make up the Australian Money Tournament series in 2018, giving all players the opportunity to lower their Australian Ranking.
